Dr. Lloyd V. Reitz Jr.

Your Muncy Community Veterinarian, Dr. Reitz

Growing up on his fourth generation family dairy farm, Dr. Lloyd V. Reitz Jr. developed a love for animals and science. He went on to earn his degree in Biology from Messiah College in 2001, and continued to earn his Master of Science in Cellular Biology in 2004 from Bucknell University. Having focused on completing an Emerging Infectious Disease Fellowship, he went on to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, following a passion for animals that began with raising animals such as horses, pigs, and even emus.

Outside the office, Dr. Reitz is a proud father of three children and shares his home with four dogs: Miss Edna Mode, Dash, Peaches, and Ollie the Collie, as well as three cats: Elizabeth Rise and Shine, Jack-Jack, and BB8 Lightning Strike. He enjoys cooking, baking, and canning, and can’t resist a good mystery or sci-fi novel. A certified scuba diving instructor, Dr. Reitz has traveled around the globe exploring underwater worlds.
